I’ve read from CaFleurBon that Etat Libre d’Orange, the house that released the award-winning Tilda Swinton Like This, the very gay Tom of Finland, and the risqué Secretions Magnifique, will be releasing a new fragrance named Fils de Dieu des Riz et des Agrumes, or Sons of the God of Rice and Oranges. Whew!
What intrigued me, however, is not the lengthy name, nor the house, but the statement that it evokes or it is dedicated to my country, the Philippines!
I am very excited for this scent and very intrigued as well. As as son of rice farmer, I am familiar with the scent of rice, in all stages. So, I’m very curious how that translates to a fragrance.
Notes are ginger, coriander leaves, lime, shiso, coconut, rice, cardamom, jasmine, cinnamon, may rose, tonka bean, vetiver, musk, amber, leather, and castoreum. It is by Ralf Schwieger for Etat Libre d’Orange.
